2024, September 23rd, The Victorian Shandong Fellowship Association held a massive event in the A877 center in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival and the 75th National Day of China.

For the opening of the event, our hosts introduced our many honorable guests and then handed the microphone over to Chairman Jordan to give the opening speech. Chairman Jordan expressed the goal of the creation of the association, the council since their creation, and thanked the support from our fellow Shandong brethren, and promised to strive for more and support each other, creating more and more opportunities for each other.

Attendees enjoyed a video showcasing the beauty of Shandong and an exhibition of Shandong cuisine. Several important guests, including the General Manager of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Australia, Mr. Yin Yunshuo, and local politicians like Paul Hamer MP and Aiv Puglielli, sent their blessings to the community.

The association's art troupe, which will provide consistent performance support for events like the Mid-Autumn and Spring Festival celebrations, was introduced. The troupe aims to allow members to perform and express their creativity on stage.

The Cultural Class, designed to teach children about Shandong's traditional culture and enhance their Chinese language skills, was also launched. It aims to increase interest in Chinese culture and heritage among younger generations. The class is expected to collaborate with various institutions to promote cultural exchange.

The Art Troupe presented a stunning variety of performances, including symphonic pieces, solo vocals, choir singing, Latin dance, traditional Chinese music, poetry recitations, and more. Performances included "Barber of Seville," "Trepak," and "I Love You China," among others.

A range of Shandong delicacies was served, including famous dishes like Braised Sea Cucumber, Sweet and Sour Fish, and Hollow Fried Dough Balls. There was also a live cooking demonstration by expert chefs.

Newly appointed directors of the association were awarded certificates, emphasizing the responsibility and commitment that come with the position. The President, Mr. Chen, encouraged all members to actively participate in the association's development.

Various prizes were raffled, including items like Bupa gifts, Shede liquor, Green Crown garden irrigation systems, and more. The raffle was conducted via a simple online system.

The event concluded with a group photo to capture the spirit of the gathering and celebrate the unity of the community.
