CCYO Visits Victorian Parliament, Engages with Deputy Premier and MP John Mullahy
Following an invitation to discuss the possibility of hosting a CCYO (Cloud Chorus Youth Orchestra) concert at the Victorian Parliament, MP John Mullahy (Member for Glen Waverley) coordinated closely with various departments. Today, a group of CCYO parents and student representatives were invited to Parliament House for a special meeting.
The Deputy Premier and Minister for Education, Ben Carroll MP, attended the session and engaged in meaningful conversations with the families and students. During the meeting, both MPs learned in detail about CCYO’s development, past events, and remarkable achievements.
Minister Ben Carroll highly praised CCYO’s musical activities and commended the children for their commitment to music education and active participation in community events. MP John Mullahy attentively listened to the parents and student representatives, taking note of their aspirations for the orchestra’s future and the types of support they hope to receive from the government.
At the end of the meeting, MP John Mullahy’s office thoughtfully prepared certificates and letters of appreciation for all the young participants, recognizing their efforts in organizing and performing in major community events.
